Theatrical Beginning Ballet for Kids

This class is going to integrate freedom of movement and technique. It will focus on implementing ballet technique, while still allowing room, physically and vocally for artistic expression. This class is for kids, ages 5-11. I know young ones are not always keen on following a teacher for an hour. I will be asking for a lot of input from them. This class is "Theatrical Ballet" meaning it allows for characters, costumes, scenarios, etc, while the students retain what I teach them technically. My role as a instructor in this class is to guide the students through the unionized process of learning a new form of dance, all the while receiving their investment and enthusiasm. This class is a bit innovative in that it is more of a two-way street than the standard learning setting. I hope to have a performance by the end of this!
