This class will be a dynamic vinyasa practice, intended to ground and center through connecting breath and movement. Using the breath as a guide, we will flow through sun saluations and asanas (yoga poses), concentrating on alignment to build strength, flexibility, and mind-body awareness. I plan on tailoring the class to the students individual needs. Themes of self care will be integrated into the class, focusing on healing and taking time to relax and restore the body. Some yoga experience preferred but not totally neccessary.

My interest in yoga emerged out of my passion for dance and and movement arts. My personal practice and teaching style is inspired by Ashtanga, Anusara, Jivamukti, and various other ashtanga based vinyasa practices. I will complete a 230 Hour Yoga Alliance Certified Registered Yoga Teacher training from the Yoga Center of Minneapolis in Spring 2011.
