Basic Songwriting

Standard chord progressions and song structures will be discussed and then applied. Devices for generating and fleshing out ideas will also be presented. Ideally there will be something for all skill levels to take away, but a minimal ability to perform your work is required (strumming a guitar is plenty). Materials will be supplied by the instructor and tailored to the classes needs. A piano will be available. This class is being offered in partnership with Osher Lifelong Learning Institute
