Winter Herbalism in Minnesota

Course description: This class will focus on seasonal herbalism for health and nutrition. We will discuss uses of common kitchen herbs and locally wildcrafted herbs from European, native American and Chinese traditions as well as share personal experiences using these herbs in daily life. Each class will include a group project of creating tinctures, infused vinegars, lotions, etc, for home use. Participants should bring a small jar and one of their favorite kitchen herbs to the first class.

Class Time: 7-9pm

Class Dates: 4 Wednesdays: Feb 25th, Mar 11th, Mar 25th, April 8th

Place: I am in progress of securing space for my new acupuncture practice. I expect to be located in the Powderhorn neighborhood in Minneapolis and can confirm this space will be available by the 2nd week in February 2009.

What experience do you bring to this class?

I am a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist who has studied both Chinese and Western herbal traditions. I use locally grown and wildcrafted herbs for health and nutrition on a daily basis, and have a lifelong love of plants and the natural world.
