Facilitator Spotlight: Ray Tricomo
Ray has been an EXCO facilitator every session since we started in 2006! An activist and writer, Ray had this to share in a recent conversation:

My best classes, bar none, have been instances of where we had this wonderful mix. That was part of the original charter of Exco, to get community people and the regular eighteen to twenty two year old college student set together. Case in point, last spring semester, one of my best classes in Native thought, I had three Mac kids and two older, working class guys. A father and a son. And they got along splendidly! A couple years ago I taught my first cinema class. I had these two young women from Albania and India and I had an older Italian lady from New Jersey and a construction worker from New York who actually sounded like he would've been an extra in the Godfather. And I loved it! They got along magnificently. I think the mix works. I support the original intent, and dare I say, the expanding intent of Exco. I hope this spreads, I really do. Like butter on toast...
All of Ray's classes this year are held at Macalester College, Old Main Room 001. The Movies: Cultural Enrichment or Co-dependence is on Mondays 6:00-8:00pm, World War II: A Source of Metaphor for Our Time is on Wednesdays 6:00-8:00pm, and Indigenous Imperative: Native Thought and its Implications is Thursdays 6:00-8:00pm.
