Book club

Would anyone be interested in a book club? Maybe meeting once or twice a month to read books and discuss them afterwards.

Please let me know your thoughts!

!!

I would love, love, love to participate in a book club. Personally, I would prefer a book club that focuses on works of fiction but maybe we just decide that as we go along...I'm a fan of most forms of expression, including works of non-fiction (if its compelling...passionate). Let's find a time and a place to start this! Libraries could work although I like coffee shops as a less formal setting. That being said, I don't like buying a drink all the time and would be in support of a setting more accessible to those of us either not in a position to pay for a coffee or at least not feed the habit! I'll suggest Monday evenings - 6 to 7...7:30...8?

Book Club and reading out loud

Hi, I love the idea of doing a book club, or multiple book clubs! I have been doing some organizing with EXCO and wanted to throw a connection out there. I was talking to one of our teachers, Ray Tricomo, the other day about a book club. First of all, he is blind and is always looking for individuals to read aloud to him. But he also reads super interesting books that might interest others. Currently he is reading: White Protestant Nation: The Rise of the American Conservative, and Renewing America's Food Traditions: Saving and Savoring the Continents Most Endangered Foods.

If these topics interest folks, these books might be a place to start.

Book Club

Thanks for your response. We could start by meeting at libraries. Any other suggestions for locations would be great as well.

Please tell me where you live. We can bring suggestions for reading books and then discuss them.

Any other ideas would be appreciated.
